Middle of the Muddle

Now……. Look into the corners that seem to get lost.  I have cupboards and drawers in the bedroom that don’t hold clothes but hold various miscellaneous items.  Things that become out of sight out of mind and have clearly not been properly addressed for years!

I have bedside tables that have morphed into a dumping ground for electronic paraphernalia – cords and headphones and charging units.  I apparently have three portable battery chargers! Why on earth I thought to buy one for myself when I bought one for my daughter on cyber Monday sales last November is a mystery!

As well, I unearthed a collection of cellphones, an iPod, an old digital camera, and even a flip phone from who knows when.  Apparently I had a cupboard of where old electronics go to hide but not die.  I ended up googling where I should take these old items for recycling.  Locally for me, it was either the local dump, Best Buy or Staples.  None had trade in value.  But the young Best Buy clerk was rather impressed that the electronic items were handed in in original boxes. (And apparently he had never seen an iPhone 4 before.)  Recycling these items gives me and eco-ego boost!  A double win in the decluttering process.
